About
It started with a calendar that did not exist.
I spent a long time looking for a year-at-a-glance calendar that actually worked. Everything I found was one of three things: functional but flat, beautiful but impractical, or the wrong size for every wall and desk I have. Nothing let me see the whole year and still live comfortably in my space.
Then I was looking at a newspaper, and the idea landed. What if the entire year lived on newsprint?
Newsprint solved problems I had not even named yet. It is flexible. You can hang it on a wall, fold it and keep it on your desk, slip it into a journal or a bag, or open it flat across a table while four people try to agree on dates for a trip.
The bigger reason is that newsprint is not precious.
I have watched too many people buy a beautiful planner and then leave it empty. The paper is too nice. The first page feels like a test. So it sits on a shelf, perfect and unused, while real life gets scribbled on receipts and buried in phone notes.
I wanted to make something that looks good and still asks to be written on. Marked up. Crossed out. Folded and refolded until the creases go soft. Something where you can change your mind on paper and watch yourself do it.
That became The Planning Calendar. The Paper Planner grew from there.
The first edition covers the academic year. A calendar-year edition is next, along with future versions and other paper products built to help people think, plan, and create in ways that fit their actual lives, not the lives a planner says they should be living.
I am a designer, a former executive, a productivity nerd, and someone who loves beautiful things that also work. If you are looking for something a little different, something practical, flexible, and made with intention, you are in the right place.
I am glad you are here.
